Established in 1994, Pantai Bayu Indah Sdn Bhd is a joint-venture company of the Kuala Lumpur-based Perdana ParkCity Sdn Bhd and the Sarawak state-owned Pelita Holdings Sdn Bhd. It is the master developer of the 202-hectare Marina ParkCity and the 1,100-hectare Eastwood Valley self-contained township.

Our aspiration is to be a major player in the Sarawak property market. Through Marina ParkCity, we intend to expand and transform Miri City into an atmospheric, lively and vibrant city that puts its people first. It will be a visionary model of master-planning that promotes livability, vitality and sustainability.

THE Perdana ParkCity Group

In 1999, the Perdana ParkCity Group acquired the Desa ParkCity site which is a prime freehold 473-acre / 191-hectare land located 13km Northwest of Kuala Lumpur City Centre. It was then an active quarry mine.

The Group embarked on a long-term plan to develop a visionary master-planned community conceived to serve the housing needs of Kuala Lumpur's upper middle-class and affluent groups. The approved content of development consists of 7,000 housing units and 350,000m² of commercial space. On completion, the estimated Gross Development Value is in the region of USD2.5 billion.

In 2002, site formation works began and the products of the first residential neighborhood were released to the market. Over a period of 13 years, 17 neighborhoods were progressively completed. Innovative place-making and housing concepts and designs were introduced. As a result, the company produced the first-of-its-kind Parkhomes which are highly modified, strata-titled terrace homes in guarded and gated neighborhoods.

Today, Desa ParkCity is arguably Kuala Lumpur’s most liveable, safest, prettiest and best-selling community. It is Malaysia’s first New Urbanist community that is especially admired for its walkability, innovative homes, safe and imaginative neighborhoods, attractive public places and the lush greenery of its streetscapes and parks.

Riding on the popularity and strengths of the Desa ParkCity community, homeowners have been rewarded with the nation’s highest capital appreciation for residential properties, averaging 25% per annum (from 2008 to 2011). The country’s most expensive terrace homes are also found here. In 2011, the company successfully marketed modified, large three-storey intermediate terrace homes at a record price of USD1.5 million each.

From 2008, the Group enlarged its portfolio with majority stakes of two other master-planned developments: The 77-hectare master-planned ParkCity Hanoi community, Vietnam; and the 223-hectare Marina ParkCity, Miri, Sarawak.

ParkCity Hanoi is a close replicate of the flagship Desa ParkCity. Located within the city limits of Hanoi, it is conceived to be a visionary master-planned community with highly differentiated neighborhood and home concepts. Approved for 6,000 housing units and a town center, VIDC strives to serve the growing middle class and affluent groups. Gross Development Value is estimated at USD2 billion.

Marina ParkCity is a mixed-use project in downtown Miri. Sited on land reclaimed from the sea, Marina ParkCity will double the size of existing Miri downtown, and shape its future. It will provide shopping malls, shops, offices, a market hall, government centers, condominiums, an ocean promenade, public parks and civic anchors set in a pedestrian friendly and leafy environment. On completion, its estimated Gross Development Value is USD1 billion.
